Recommended Devices

The devices below are not specifically designed for this technique. However, we feel that they are small enough to have a safe amplitude for use on the human shoulders, neck, and jaw. They offer a range of frequencies that support the goals of Vibrant Voice Technique.

The Mimi Soft by Je Joue
 Price: ≈ $100 USD
 Material: Silicone
 Power: Rechargeable

For some time, this has been our top pick for most users. The Je Joue Mimi Soft offers both a wide range of speeds, from a "low rumble" to a high frequency. It has a flat, fully silicone-coated surface, which we find makes it easy to hold and use for a pressure point. Please note this device is an adult toy.

The Novafon

 Price: ≈ $400 USD
 Material: Plastic
 Power: Rechargeable

We recently discovered this premium device, created in Germany (authorized as a medical device in the EU). It offers two set frequencies - 50 hertz and 100 hertz - and at both of these speeds, it offers three levels of intensity. This is the only device we've encountered which offers direct control of amplitude.

Jaw Massager
 Price: ≈ $35 USD
 Material: Silicone
 Power: Rechargeable

Recently a number of jaw massagers have been appearing on various marketplaces. These devices are often well suited for our technique, offering a useful shape, and medical grade silicone. They also heat up, though this feature seems to be not entirely reliable. This is another option (featured in the online course), in addition to the more recent link we discovered below.

Facial Scrubber
 Price: ≈ $30 CAD
 Material: Silicone
 Power: Rechargeable

A student suggested to us that there are facial scrubbers available for purchase, which have a nice high frequency, which can be useful for resonance work. Devices like this can be good for smaller or younger people. Please note, you will want to use the point where you feel the most vibration for your pressure point, as opposed to the brush surface.

Personal Massage Wand
 Price: ≈ $35 USD
 Material: Silicone
 Power: Rechargeable

A reliable option that is on the slightly more powerful side. Personal massage wands vary in size, but are likely to be anywhere from 6 to 8" long. They are fully silicone coated, and have often start with a strong amplitude and need to be turned down. If you think you'd appreciate more power, this may be a good, lower-cost option for you.

Mini Massage Wand
 Price: ≈ $20 USD
 Material: Silicone
 Power: Rechargeable

A reliable option for folks who want a smaller device. A mini wand is a smaller version of a personal massage wand (~4-5"), and is still fully silicone-coated. These smaller devices likely have less amplitude and higher frequency. Therefore they can be good for smaller bodies or young people. Their high frequency is also useful to explore with our resonance exercises.

The Mini Penguin Massager
 Price: ≈ $10 USD
 Material: Hard plastic
 Power: Battery

This has been our least expensive recommendation for quite some time. It has only two power settings, and provides more amplitude than other options. Because of the hard plastic, we often recommend buffering when using this device, especially on smaller neck muscles. This device is not an adult toy.

The LELO Siri
 Price: ≈ $130 USD
 Material: Silicone
 Power: Rechargeable

Our original recommendation, the LELO Siri 1, is no longer available. LELO is now marketing the Siri 3. Overall, we no longer recommend this device. However, if you choose to use the Siri 3, please note that we do not suggest not turning it on to full speed, as it can be overly powerful. You can also skip the sound responsive settings, as they are not compatible with our exercises.
